GEN 2.0 CNC Plasma Cutter Plans, includes .stl files for printing
GENERATION 2.0
Plans include information for both imperial and metric builds. These are based on 2x2 inch tubing for imperial (USA and Canada) and 50x50mm tubing for metric for the rest of the world.
*****3D printed parts and Precut steel plates available for your convenience *****
This is a set of plans to build a 2 or 3 axis budget CNC plasma cutter using metal tubing and 3D printed parts. Plans include 3 dimensional drawings of all metal parts, .stl files for 3D printed parts and a complete bill of materials list to complete this project. Open source firmware and software will need to be loaded onto the ESP32 to complete the electrical function of the machine. This process is detailed in the instructions.
28" X 32" cutting surface.
If you have all of the bill of materials on hand, this will take about 1-2 day's time to build and assemble the mechanical portion of the machine. The electrical will take about 1/2 day depending on your experience.
Also Includes a Rotary Axis for tube notching and other processes.
Includes information to add optional limit switches. These are Opto-Isolated.

Estimated cost of completion is $400 to $550 depending upon the number of Axes and options.
Adding a Full Gen 2.0 control box will cost another $50-$75
For trouble free operation, a low frequency blow back start plasma cutter is necessary.
Proper grounding and shielding is detailed in the plans to eliminate EMI interference.
Warning: This is not an industrial machine and not intended to be used in a production shop. It is intended for light use by a homeowner or hobbyist.
